First Day of School - Monday, August 25

Well, the first day of school was Monday. Lauren is an 8th grader and Cory is a 6th grader. Their school has a dress code, so that's why the kids are wearing khaki's and polo shirts... The school acts like the dress code makes things equal, like all the kids will be wearing the same thing and like it should be so easy to buy school clothes. It actually takes all the fun out of school clothes shopping. And, check Lauren out, the girls do whatever they can to accessorize (cami, jewrely, etc.). And, you can't tell from the picture, but they aren't wearing polos from Walmart, no, they're wearing Abercrombie polos. So much for easy and cheap - yeah right!

Cory had a great first day, Lauren wasn't so thrilled. Her best friends aren't in a lot of her classes, but she had a better day Tuesday. I can't get over the forms to complete, the course fees, the gym uniforms, Cory has a field trip permission slip already due this Friday, and they are starting a big fundraiser Friday - the first week of school! It's a little overwhelming!
